Allow me introduce myself - my name is Jodi Cohen and I'm the founder of Concierge and the City. I am very proud to announce the launch of Concierge and the City Online.
Over the past two years, I've designed Concierge and the City to be a brand that has everything to do with lifestyle. And I've made it accessible to everyone - not just the wealthy. The concept was to take a selection of products and services that already existed and provide a one-stop-lifestyle-shop with no rules or restrictions, just a limitless selection of options, all designed to uncomplicate day to day life.
As a little girl, my mother used to call me her "little organizer." My room was never messy like a typical kid; every toy had its place and my clothes were always organized by type in my closet! I also made it my "job" to organize how my parents kept things around the house – how the food should be organized in the fridge, where the mail should be when taken inside the house, how laundry should be done, etc. To this day, whenever something needs to be fixed around the house, I'm the one who calls different suppliers, receives quotes for the best price and make the arrangements to have everything taken care of. If you ask my friends they'll tell you that I'm the first person they call when they need information about something – I'm like a walking directory!
A few years ago, my girlfriends and I were planning a weekend trip to South Beach to celebrate a friend's birthday. Before we left I had made all the reservations, made sure we had VIP at night clubs before we got there and I contacted the hotel manager to introduce myself and to arrange added amenities to be enjoyed during our 4-night stay. I even handed out a detailed itinerary at the airport prior to take off! My girlfriends were in awe of the planning that I did for this trip and said to me: "Jodi – you need to do this – not for us, but for other people!" And VOILA! Concierge and the City was born!
At the time I was already an established event producer and was working in lifestyle PR, but in Concierge and the City, I found my true calling. PR and working in the events industry has allowed me the opportunity to meet a lot of great people and learn a tremendous amount – about…well, everything! I love to plan, organize, bring people together and simplify people's lives - that is what lifestyle management is all about.
Enough about what I've done in the past and on to what I'm doing now. Simply put I am bringing lifestyle to a whole new level.
Anyone who knows me would tell you that I'm always coming up with new and creative ideas for unique projects. Sometimes there's a business adventure, but most of the time, they're for entertainment! Concierge and the City is known for providing a high level of service to its clients, so I decided to expand Concierge and the City and take it online. I knew that an online corporate site wasn't enough – they can get boring and don't really engage with consumers. So the concept evolved into an online "magazine" – a complete resource for everything to do with lifestyle. While the website was being developed, I literally had a dream about an online mall where people can shop in their spare time, from home or work, so I decided to add an e-Mall to Concierge and the City Online. The e-Mall, not only sells concierge services, allowing visitors to input personal instructions for weekly errands and arrangements, but you can also buy products at the e-Mall, just like an "actual" mall.
I hope you enjoy Concierge and the City Online! Keep logging in and following our evolution; we're going to be changing constantly and updating the site to include our fresh, edgy and unique ideas. So remember Invest in your Lifestyle and let Concierge and the City Online simplify your life.
